Chicago

The week of July 4th, Andrea, Trey, and I met up with Anokhi and Ben for a short tour of the great Midwest with stops in Chicago and Madison, WI.  In Chicago, we hit up your typical sightseeing spots including Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (a.k.a. the Bean), Lincoln Park Zoo, and of course Wrigley Field.  Enjoy a couple of the highlights.

San Diego Zoo

One more post from our spring time trip out to San Diego before moving on. On our first day Tannin, Sarah, Andrea, Trey and I headed to the world famous San Diego Zoo, located in Balboa Park. The world famous zoo is home to a new baby panda, which we wanted to show Trey but he instead decided to take a nice long nap outside in the beautiful weather. Unfortunately no picks of the baby panda, who like Trey was sleeping during our visit, but still got a couple of the zoo’s inhabitants and a couple of crazy Canadians.

The Flower Fields (Carlsbad, CA)

Rewinding back to April… the day after Anokhi and Ben’s wedding Tannin, Sarah, Andrea, Trey, and I headed up north from La Jolla to the Carlsbad Flower Fields. The fields consist of almost fifty acres of ranunculus flowers that are only in bloom from March into May. After shooting a wedding the day before I wasn’t too active with the camera but here are a couple from our stroll around the grounds. Enjoy.

New York City Harbor Cruise / Statue of Liberty

I’ve been bouncing around a bit lately so let’s see if over the next couple of posts I can finish out the pics from our weekend in NYC.  For this set we’ve got a couple of pics of the Statue of Liberty and downtown (including the World Trade Center construction) taken from a sailing cruise (operated by Classic Harbor Line) along the New York Harbor.  Enjoy.

Provincetown (Part 2 of 2)

Wrapping up our trip to Provincetown – more from the sunset harbor cruise.  Plus, if you’re interested here’s a LINK to Andrea and my trip to P-town last summer.  Enjoy.

Provincetown (Part 1 of 2)

After our stop in Truro for the vineyard tour and tasting, we continued on Route 6 and headed up to Provincetown for a sunset harbor cruise on the Viking Princess.  Prior to the cruise we stopped for a quick dinner at El Mundo, which was surprisingly much better (actually it was fantastic) Mexican than you’d typically expect on the Cape (another fun fact about El Mundo is there is a second location – in Kentucky).  After a picturesque warm sunset, the gang (i.e., Tannin, Sarah, Anokhi, Ben, and Andrea) and I walked along Commercial Street taking in the eclectic sites and sounds before calling it a night and heading back down to Eastham.  Enjoy the first of two posts from P-town.
